The word "cicada" means "buzzer". Someone really got creative with that one, huh... There are over 2,ooo species of cicada; and they are not related to locusts. Some of them can live to be 17 years old! People in different countries actually eat them. They are also used in the "traditional medicines" of China. I wonder what they use them for?

Davis
I moved a cicada off of our sidewalk the other night, named it Davis, and took over 30 pictures of it. I'm not going to post all of the ones that I saved though. :)
