A Bird In the Hand

I started this little chicken some time ago, dropped it, and didn't know if I'd ever finish it. I deviated from the pattern, but am happy with my changes and additions. :) I'm not sure if I got it's wattle quite right, though; but it looks ok.



My friend Alex loves chickens; so I ended up deciding to make it into a present for her.



I made one eye purple and one eye green using french knots. I used french knots for the dots on one wing and a lazy daisy stitch for the flower on the other; and I sealed the top with a blanket stitch. I made it nice and plump. :)
