The blanket flowers are perennial. Along with those I planted two colors of columbine(blue and burgundy), and a mixed color coneflower that should come back next year.

Now the patch next to the house…

My Garden(s) 2015 #1 At Grandma North’s

I took on so much this year. I think being overwhelmed with the garden may be an annual tradition at this point—but I love gardening!! I may try to restrain myself more next year—maybe. Some bits have been kept pretty tidy, watered and weeded with loving diligence. Other bits are positively wild with weeds—expect to see weeds in these posts. I also doubt I’ll cover everything I’ve grown.

These are most of the things I planted at Grandma’s.

I love these double petunias with the candy stripes.

I planted so many snapdragons this year. The variety of colors, and shading within the flowers, are so beautiful.

These purple petunias smell nice and sweet. :)

I’ve been calling it “The Year of the Flower”.

Lady Emma Hamilton(and Poppies)

We planted our first bushes ever from David Austen this year, and recently had our first bloom on the one named “Lady Emma Hamilton”.spring and early summer2015 364

I am so in love with this company. This rose looked like a painting waiting to happen.spring and early summer2015 366

All of the bushes are budding. I am so pleased! I am looking forward to all of the blossoms in white, yellow, pink, crimson etc.

Here are some of my California poppies too.spring and early summer2015 376spring and early summer2015 378spring and early summer2015 389spring and early summer2015 390spring and early summer2015 393spring and early summer2015 394
