Visit:Grandma and Grandpa Hess :)

My Grandma and Grandpa Hess from Idaho visited our family last Friday.

Most of us mainly talked and ate at different locations. :)

Pickled Green Beans

Yesterday I canned by myself for the first time!

I made four pints using green beans from our garden. :)

Polka-Dot Moth

I don’t think I’d ever seen a moth like this one before. Isn’t it interesting?

Teddy Roosevelt

I went to a graduation in early June. For the party girl I invented this little Teddy doll(because she is interested in the history of presidents)! :) The only thing that I didn’t make was his pair of boots; but they fit wonderfully. :)

I added extra stitches to the mustache that, not only fixed it more securely to his face, but gave it more detail as well.

Miniature teddy bear

I used black thread on his vest.

gold felt pocket watch

I made the chain by tying/knotting thread. I either used a needle or a pin to help guide the size of the loops. I’m not sure which one.

French knot buttons

Lovely boots. I have an extra pair. :)

I used cream colored thread to create the stripes in his tie.
